It's the Perth live show, so OF COURSE there's a disaster. Crabb has totally lost her voice. Sales suggests that she can do a TED talk style 90-min solo address instead, the threat of which is enough to galvanise Crabb to race to Perth to protect local Chatters from this horrific fate. The pair use various workarounds to somehow achieve a chat show between two people, one of whom is mute. They discuss Morning Wars, Shayda, and Crabb manages to destroy Sales' favourite movie, which was nice for Crabb in a tough week. Thanks Perth Chatters for being SUCH a kind audience!

Today's podcast explores the full spectrum of Crabb and Sales' friendship. It begins with the most thoughtful birthday gift ever, given by Sales and gal pals to Crabb on her 50th. It then moves smoothly into an epic betrayal, which Sales cheerfully recounts AS IF IT'S NOTHING. What the hell? Also, Sales finds it diffcult not to mention her recent encounter with Lin-Manuel Miranda. And she's listened to some podcasts. But really, the betrayal is what'll stay with you.
Read MoreCrabb here. Sales lost her voice on Friday when we were supposed to record today's pod. But of course, she had up her sleeve an International Women's Day recording of a conversation she had with four wonderful female classical musicians. So we submit it as a "sorry" gift, with normal service to resume next Monday.

Read MoreFor Helen Garner's 80th birthday last year, Melbourne's superb Wheeler Centre arranged an evening of pomp and circumstance to celebrate, as part of its Spring Fling festival. The event was MC'd by Chatter darling Virginia Gay, there was an introduction from Miles Franklin winner Jennifer Down (do NOT miss Bodies Of Light if you haven't read it yet) and concluded with a lengthy on-stage conversation between Garner and Crabb. Recognising that this exchange is grade-A Chatter Catnip, The Wheeler Centre - bless their cotton socks - have allowed us to use the audio for Chat 10 Looks 3. Crabb turns 50 today, and thought this steaming hot plate of vintage Garner might be a nice present for Chatters everywhere. Happy Birthday to all!
